RGCL visits Edinburgh for the XI Autism-Europe International Congress to talk AUTOR

xi-ae-int-congressRGCL recently had the pleasure of attending the XI Autism-Europe International Congress in Edinburgh.

Autism-Europe’s international congresses are dedicated to sharing advances in practical and scientific knowledge about autism to as wide an audience as possible, including researchers, professionals, parents and self-advocates.

The event was a huge success welcoming over 1,700 delegates from around the world.

RGCL took the opportunity to network with some fantastic organisations doing great work to help the lives of people suffering with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Iain Mansell, RGCL Project and Marketing Officer said: “We hope to build on these new relationships to integrate AUTOR into as many organisations as possible. Recently there has been much hype around developing technology to make our cities ‘SMART’ and providing information to people digitally. The question we must ask ourselves is ‘how do we combat societal exclusion to a huge demographic of the population that will struggle with digital text comprehension?’. I believe AUTOR will be the answer.”

The next Autism-Europe Congress will take place in Paris, 2019. We hope to see you there, and of course, hopefully by then AUTOR will be in the mainstream.
